The Hills Have Eyes 2 (kinda), Pride

Well, before i begin, I'll just give a quick update about the Corndog.
I was called back to work Monday being laid off a little over 2 months.
I don't have as much time on my hands anymore, so I wont be around quite as often as I have been lately, but I'm sure I'll adapt and get back in the swing of things soon. As for now, the work days are wearing me out so some nights I come home and don't even log on.......anyway, on to the movies.

The Hills Have Eyes 2

Let me just start out by saying, I have no idea why we even rented this movie anyway. I hated the first one, I just thought it was too stupid and not a very good or scary movie.

Anyway, for some reason we thought the second one looked better. As we were watching I realize that it in fact was not better. Seriously, it got to the point that I thought it was so stupid we just turned it off.

How can you write a review of a movie that you havent seen all of you might say? Cause this is my blog, and if something is that uninteresting, I'm not going to waste more of my time with it.

So my final thoughts on the movie......If you differ from me and like the first Hills Have Eyes, maybe you should check 2 out. If you agree with me that the first one sucked, take my word for it on the second.

Im not sure how I want to do my ratings. It seems hard to rate something out of 10, so I think I'll just start making my own things up.

As far as the HHE's2 goes, I rate it: so not good it doesn't deserve a rating.

on to the next movie, thank God.

Pride

A former swimmer starts a swim team for troubled teens at the Philadelphia Department of Recreation.

Here we go, Im a little fired up about this at the moment.
I was checking out a popular movie site that I wont name, but they average user rating was 3.2/10 for this movie. What's the deal with people? I wouldn't call it a 10 but theres no way a movie like this should get a 3.2!!!!!

I liked this movie pretty good. I liked the storyline and pretty much everything about the movie. There are some things that if you wanted to get picky about you could question, but just sit back and enjoy the movie and shut your mouth. yeah i like that.

Like I said before, Im not gonna sit here and tell the endings to movies, heck, as of right now I'm not even telling much information about the movie. I will say this though.....

For Pride the Corndog rates it, on a scale of whatever i want : shut your mouth and watch the movie.

Well, I hope youve enjoyed this latest update. I really dont know what approach I'm trying to take with these reviews, but I hope ya enjoy. I'm just trying to not let it get boring, and being honest.

Take care out there

Premonition, Shooter

The wife and I loaded up on some movies for the weekend, so far we've watched 2 of them......

Premonition

(Sandra Bullock, Julian Mcmahon)

Linda Hanson (Bullock) is told by the local sherriff that her husband has been killed in an automobile accident. However, the next day when she wakes up she finds that her husband is sleeping next to her, and yes he is sleeping because he is still alive. This leads her to believe that what happened yesterday was all just a very real feeling dream, but was it? Is he dead? Is he alive? does she have crazy dreams? is she crazy?

Corndog Opinion:
This was a pretty good movie. It's one of the kinds of movies that has you think you know what is going to happen, but then something else changes your mind. Then when you think you have it figured out again, you guessed it, it changes your mind again.

It keeps you guessing all the way through the movie. and thats why I liked it.
Ill give it a 7 out of 10.
I'd say its worth renting, but I wouldn't buy it.

Up next we had.......

Shooter

(Mark Wahlberg, Michael Peña, Danny Glover)
A marksman (Wahlberg) living in exile is coaxed back into action after learning of a plot to kill the president. Ultimately double-crossed and framed for the attempt, he goes on the run to track the real killer and find out who exactly set him up, and why.
Corndog's Opinion:
It had alot of action, and I thought it was a very good story line. There is obviously some shooting to enjoy, alot of chasing, and throw in some evil corrupt government officials and youve got a winner.
Ill give it a 7.5 out of 10.
This is another that is a renter. I wouldnt buy it to watch again, but if you're a Wahlberg fan or a girl you might want to see it again.

Hey Corndog, What's this all about?

Well, I'm glad you ask. This is the brand new Corndog's Movie Corner.
I got this idea from the internet legend himself, and master of the blog, Bird33. That's right, Mr. Bird. If you have had internet connection for more than 2 hours you know who I am talking about, and you probably have him on your Instant messenger or Myspace.

What you will find here is my opinions on the latest movies I have watched. As of right now, there won't be much more than that here but who knows.

What you will not find here is the ending to a movie. One of my biggest pet peeves is when you are talking to someone about a movie, and they ruin it by telling you the ending. For example,
I was in line at the movie store one day and a little old lady saw the movie that I was renting. She proceeds to tell me how good of a movie it was and how her and her family really liked it. However, the last thing she said was the worst part of the conversation. "I really liked it, I just can't believe he dies".
Are you kidding me?! Why would someone do that? I briefly thought , I should punch this lady in the mouth, but I decided against that. I still rented the movie, and even enjoyed most of it, but right there near the end...you guessed it. Dead as a door nail (whatever that means).

Anywho...so basically, I'll just tell ya what I thought. You can agree with me or you can disagree with me, but at least we'll have something to talk about.

Take care out there.....
